Book Review: Identity Crisis by Ben Elton

A fascinating, astute and often hilarious social commentary on modem day life in Britain. Brilliant observations about social media, the different personas people adopt, their behaviour and consequences. The way gender identification and sexual orientation are dealt with, from the virtue signalling snowflakes to the patriarchal dinosours is spot on. Let’s also not forget the inclusion of cyber manipulation, Russian interference, another referendum and the exploitative nature of Love Island. And underneath all this is a murder spree to solve! A very clever and engaging read, no matter on what side of the fence you sit on.
